Alfredo Archilla MD

Dr. Archilla is a Board Certified and Fellowship Trained Otolaryngologist, having completed his Fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee from 2011-2012. He received his Doctor of Medicine with Honors degree at Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico in 2006. He completed one of the most prestigious residency programs in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York in 2011. During the residency he developed a specific interest in medical and surgical management of sinus, nasal and anterior skull base diseases.

He is equally fluent in English and Spanish and is one of very few fellowship-trained Rhinologists between Miami, Tampa and Gainesville. He is highly experienced in the management and surgery of advanced sinus and anterior skull base disease, including pituitary tumors and fungal sinusitis, as well as endoscopic orbital decompression for exophthalmos. He has advanced knowledge and skills in the minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgery with infrared guidance and intraoperative navigation as well as balloon sinuplasty.

Dr. Archilla then proceeded with advanced training and completed a highly competitive fellowship in Rhinology and Endoscopic Skull Base Surgery at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and has authored numerous articles and book chapters in peer reviewed publications. Dr. Archilla is a Voluntary Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Department of Otolaryngology, University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine. He is also an Affiliate Clinical Associate Professor of Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.

As the director of the Center for Advanced Sinus and Nasal Care Dr. Archilla brings to his patients superior clinical knowledge, outstanding surgical skills and a most engaging and kind personality.
